It appears some Northern League clubs are getting round the competition's rule over mandatory programmes by producing a mere handful of 'official' copies for the league's benefit. An old chestnut. If you deem a programme essential, it might pay to ring ahead of a visit to a club in this league to ensure they will be doing enough to be sold at the turnstiles.

* to try and clear up the M.K. prog. situation, they didn't issue for their first game, but did for the next two. The manager does the programmes with his Dad as distribution manager. They "intend to issue regularly" but I would suggest anyone requiring a programme from their trip should visit sooner rather than later as in my opinion, with nothing to back it up, I can't see the enthusiasm being sustained for a full season. Also at the game I took the opportunity to speak to the Mursley secretary who confirmed what other travellers had told me, they don't normally issue programmes, but if you let the Secretary know four or five days in advance that you are comming, he will run off a four pager specially.
