Penrith FC - ex Northern League - action from the 1950's at Southend Road

Andy writes: 'Whilst over in Penrith today (October 27), I called in at Northern League Penrith FC's old Southend Road ground, which they left for the purpose-built  Frenchfield Stadium at the start of this season. An old chap, at the ground to supervise the grass cutting, gave me a couple of black and white pictures of a packed  Southend Road in the 1950s. In the two pictures, Penrith are in the all white strip. They make an interesting comparison with today's scene!
