A weather and traffic affected Saturday. Decided against my muddy field trips today and stayed very local. Had decided to visit St Neots Town v Stourbridge, but 15 minutes before I was due to leave discovered the A1 north was closed between Sandy and the Black Cat roundabout, chaos abounded on my chosen route! Lucky escape as the game ended 0-0.

So I decided on Baldock Town who are currently ground sharing at Hitchin Town's Top Field ground. This was the fourth venue that I have seen the reformed Baldock Town play at. The visitors today were Bovingdon who despite being third from bottom of the Premier had turned in some good performances of late. Baldock are on a good run of results and they are pushing hard to finish in a promotion position and even retain the Championship.

The game started evenly but soon Baldock started to put the pressure on and went in at half time 2-0 up. In the second period 3 more goals for the home as they pulled away to a 5-0 lead. Visitors Bovingdon had the last say in the game as they pulled two goals back late in the game for a final scoreline of 5-2.
