Bengeo is situated on the outskirts of Hertford on the B158. There is a small car park, clubhouse (although not open today), changing rooms and a sloping, undulating pitch which could do with a bit of levelling!

Bengeo had won the Herts Junior Cup over the Easter weekend and this game fast became the "after the Lord Mayors Show" effort I'm afraid. Visitors Cottered had just one win from 11 matches and occupied last spot in the division but played with a determination to thwart and frustrate the home sides efforts to repeat the 8-2 thrashing they had received in the home game earlier in the season.

At the end of the game it was goalless but Cottered will get a lot of confidence from this performance. They will now have to find the net more often as only seven goals in twelve games is real problem for them.
