2nd v 1st, Brinklow  should have had this game wrapped up half-time, they had 90% of the play and could have been anywhere between 2 to 5 up at the break

Second half was more even though the home side were far better than the away team. A goal from the visitors changed all that a lob from 35 or so yards made it 0-1, it was against the run of play. Brinklow then got back into the game with an equaliser I  thought they would go on to win the game. But Woodlands scored straight from the kick-off and then got a 3rd with a breakaway goal. The game was frenetic and feisty at times

The style of play between the team two teams was total different Brinklow playing some nice stuff though resorting to long throw ins a bit to often, Woodlands just soaked up the pressure rode their luck and tried to counter attack. As is the norm in this division three officials. The standard was again as good as step 6 and on par with some step 5 sides I have seen, actually better than some, though the pressure of the game did just take a tad of the shine off of it.

Liked the ground and setting though it was basic for the top division of the Coventry, only roped down one side. The dressing rooms are actually in the main road and face out onto the Fosse Way, they were built in 1902  - they have 1902 ER on them. You get from the ground to the dressing rooms via a gate in the fence surrounding the playing field. The village itself is one I have been through many time without knowing they had a team, it is only a few miles from Coventry Speedway at Brandon. Plenty of parking either on the Fosse Way or by the Doctors Surgery in Barr Lane which you are allowed to use on a Saturday. No teabar at the ground but if you exit the ground by the dressing rooms there are a number of outlets providing food - I had a portion of chips from one and many locals were coming in with large cardboard cups of coffee.
