A new venue for me, off the A507 between Baldock and Royston at the sign post for Ashwell & Morden Station. Just follow this road into Steeple Morden continuing through the village the recreation ground is on the left. There are a couple of pitches used for junior football by the looks and a cricket square, The football club play at the pitch and the edge of the recreation ground which has a grass banking and trees along one side.

I was a bit unsure about this game as Fulbourn had been unable to raise a side for the their midweek game. Still they did mange to get nine players to the game for kick-off with another two (including the goalkeeper) arriving half way through the first half. It didn't last long as the player that started in goal was injured in a challenge and had to leave the field putting Fulbourn back to ten men. Three goals to the good at the break Steeple Morden continued the scoring in the second to lead 5-0. A couple of injuries for the home meant that they too were reduced to ten men in the second half. Fulbourn pulled a couple of goals back late in the game, including the best of the afternoon a spectacular 30 yard effort.
