Last weekend saw the first weekend of the North West Norfolk League and Heacham were entertaining Gayton United Reserves in a Division One fixture. Plenty of new building work since I last visited the ground (not for football, out of season). New dressing room block and pavilion with the car park having been improved as well. Further outside floodlit pitch used for 5-a-side and possibly training will have a new 3g playing surface later in the season. Heacham came back from a first half Gayton strike and claimed a point in a 1-1 draw. Also taking place on the adjacent pitch were Heacham Reserves taking on East Winch in a North West Norfolk League Division 4 game. Heacham had a comprehensive 4-1 win in this game. |
