Awaking from my winter hibernation I paid a visit to The Irish Centre, Manor Fields, Bletchley for the game between Buckingham Town and Potton United.

There does appear to have been and still going on a serious amount of construction going on around the ground. Not at least the amount of seating now available with the redundant seating from the old MK hockey stadium being put to good use. There is also a disabled area for wheelchairs and carers being constructed. All in all quite a change from my last visit in mid seventies!

The game itself provided a first half best forgotten, without a shot on target by either team. Potton upped their game in the second half and established a 3-0 by 69 minutes. The referee then didn't help the home side (or should we blame the players) issuing red cards to Buckingham players in the 69th minute and stoppage time to reduce the home team to nine men. Potton held on their lead and should have extended it, with the three points putting them up to fourth place.
