TT No.4: Barry Neighbour - Tuesday 17th July 2007; Badshot Lea v Bracknell Town (P-S F)           Venue: The Wavell Army Ground, Aldershot; Result: 2-0; Att: about 40; Programme: No; FGIF Rating: 3*

This Pre-Season Friendly was played at the floodlit Wavell Army Ground in Aldershot which is next to the Army Rugby Stadium in Queens Avenue.

It was the home side, two steps below visitors Bracknell, who took the lead in the 13th minute when the visiting keeper fumbled a cross and Badshot's centre-forward nodded the loose ball over the line. Both sides were tackling hard (for a Pre Season Friendly!) and although Bracknell, with several new signings on show, shone it was Badshot Lea who looked more of a team as they supported each other all over the pitch. On the stroke of half-time the home side doubled their lead when a ball was laid back on the edge of the area for the Badshot Lea player to rifle home a fierce shot. The second half carried on in a similiar vein to the first. With further heavy tackles flying in several players were seen limping off the pitch at the end of the match.

The venue was well worth a visit and Hoppers can get the chance to visit on Tuesday 31st July when Badshot Lea entertain an Aldershot Town XI.
